This paper by Sergey Brin and other Googlers devises a way to match TV reports to news reports, by devising a software model that analyzes the closed captioning for keywords. The abstract says that the algorithm proved highly effective, matching a relevant topic 84-91% of the time, and the exact topic 64% of the time."



 

MSN's New search avtar, it has some cool features like where you can slide to adjust your search settings/criteria, this can come handy to find sites who are not so popular or find exact match but not there yet to compeit with Google...  Posted by Hello

Today, Google trolls 8 billion Web pages, and with business add-ons such as Blogger, Gmail and Froogle, is becoming a legitimate franchise. Last quarter, the Mountain View, Calif.-based company reaped $806 million in revenue and $212 million in earnings. Its market cap is $46 billion. "

Google's new tool - Google Deskbar with mini browser

Latest from Google, they have introduced whats' called a Google Deskbar one step closer towards their own browser "GBrowser" smart way of introducing the browser... First you need to install the deskbar and the nice thing about this is if you are reading any document and highlight the word and press Ctrl + Alt + G it will have the word in the deskbar area see below picture marked in red and hit enter to be Googled... Now hidden feature press Shift + F1 ..ohh lallaa ... comes the mini browser of Google's a sneak preview of what Google is bringing out with its new browser.... see below picture....
