If you love Google, Google Desktop will be your new best friend. It indexes local files and e-mails, logs and indexes your AIM chats and surfed Web pages, and can even recover content from deleted or modified documents. It does not, however, provide the detailed field-based search available in Lookout for Outlook.
Indexes local documents, Outlook or Outlook Express e-mail, AIM chats, Web history. Searches using familiar Google syntax. Can recover changed or deleted documents from cache.
Doesn't index PDF content or index inside ZIPs. Can't rebuild index without uninstall/reinstall. Requires Internet Explorer for full function. Can't search on specific data fields."

Gmail Notifier
My Review on this Gmail Feature
Something which was missing in Gmail that I was looking for ... finally has arrived in beta version now ...
Gmail Notifier, notifies you if any new emails drop into ur account. I was thinking Gmail would come up with a IM (Instant messenger) to solve this issue, but i guess they thought why waste time just give this notifier app.
If you have unread emails it will show all of them one by one in the system tray, after it is done you can choose the option "tell me again" like asking the granny to tell the story again heheee...

It displays an icon in your system tray to let you know if you have unread Gmail messages, and shows you their subjects, senders and snippets, all without your having to open a web browser.
The Notifier is in beta. Before you download it, we encourage you to review the system requirements and privacy information. "
